While sitting waiting on the weather window, I wonder what I could make different for breakfast. Something hot that will keep us warm for a few hours, I know how about coconut rice pudding. Yeah that sounds good, I saw a recipe on the back of one of the coconut milk cans, so I made it. Who says dessert isn't good for a meal. Add a banana and a mango and call it breakfast, that's what I did and it was wonderful and warm..After reading all the weather reports I was just plain confused by them all. I check 3 or 4 websites every morning, most said it was about 1 to 2 feet out , but NOAA had a small craft advisory that said 5 to 6 foot seas, at the same time it said 1 to 2 feet. So what to do, we checked the NOAA radio and sure enough it said 5 to 6 ft seas small craft advisory, so we stayed in.Not in any big hurry to leave the boat we stayed on board till about 11am. We decided to take a walk on the boardwalk, it was warming up and it looked like a nice day. Still tied to the fuel dock, we secured the boat then we talked to a man working on the dock and headed out. We walked straight to the ocean and what do we see, not much. We thought since it was small craft advisory maybe there would be surf. There was about 4 foot surf, but breaking on the beach, not surfable. As we looked out it didn't look like anything we couldn't have handled on the boat. It was a rolling wave and not that big, only jacked up as it got close to the beach. Lets just say we were disappointed that we hadn't gone. To late in the day to go then, so we walked most of the boardwalk and back. On the boardwalk there was a memorial for the nations firemen, which we took time to check it out and read about it. It also had a piece of the Twin Towers from 9/11. I will post the pictures. Found a used DVD store where we could trade movies. We told the store clerk that we would be back tomorrow if we couldn't leave again. Our feet were wore out by time we returned to the boat, we had walked over 5 miles...Back on the boat we kicked off our shoes and sat for a while..For some reason we are not able to get TV at this dock, we could when we were anchored out about 100 yards from here, but not here. I guess it is because of the building blocking the signal and the wind. The winds were predicted to pick up and gust last night and they did. Happy to be tied to a dock...No rocking for us, so you could come knocking... We are glad not to be in the North Atlantic, but it seems our friend Jim may have been right about being south of Maryland before October 1st, as the Mid Atlantic region is not easy to get out of either. Today we woke up to 42 degree weather and high winds and sea with another small craft advisory, so we wait again. Today 3 websites agreed, not to leave. We only have 100 miles left on the outside before we will be back in the ditch( the ICW) but it is proving to be a challenge..
