If you read yesterdays post you all know that Carl and I stayed on the boat most of the morning tossing back and forth whether to leave or not. It looked like we could get to Norfolk if we left the dock and ran all night to get there. The forecast was for 10 to 15 knots, 2 foot seas with sunshine, getting a bit stronger during the night with stronger winds and 3 to 4 foot waves. We decided to make a break for it, so it was time to ready the boat for leaving. Rhonda had let us plug in during the night to use our heater,so we wouldn't be so cold . Let me tell you how wonderful that was.. Normally its blanket city for all three of us, but not last night, toasty warm...I told Rhonda I would give her a haircut for all she did for us before we left, so while Carl got the boat ready I cut Rhonda's hair. At noon it was time to depart. By now most of you know that the tought of doing a night passage had me a bit nervous to say the least.. Shaking I was...Sissy Girl...I called Tammy and gave her out float plan and all vessel info and told her I would check in when towers were available. The day at sea was great, a little nuts getting out of the inlet, but we are much more use to it now. As night fell we dropped the sails, as we didn't want to have to deal with them in the dark. The night sky was full of stars, but no moon, very dark. Life jackets were passed around and all crew members wore one.. Stafey First, you never know what goes bump in the night... Carl did his usual good job navigating and I cooking (pot of beans) and taking my turn at the helm to relieve him. Bella stayed topside all night with us covered in a blanket, rough life..During the night things did get a bit rough, but nothing we couldn't deal with..We talked of many things like why they call those grade B westerns Spaghetti Westerns.. Do they have to eat spaghetti before they shoot? Maybe that's all the budget had for the catered food on the set. I know they all meet at a certain restaurant after to kiss the ring.. But Alas we figured it out..Every person involved with the movie was Italian.. It's true actors, film crew, make-up, production, producing and anyone else I left out.. I wonder if it was mob money for the cowboys or what.. Hey cousin Louie can act, lets give him a part in the movie before we rub him out., then we don't have to pay..You decide..Why is it when you go to a plantatairam you can see all the constillation and when you outside looking at them you can only find the big and little dipper?.. These are the things I need to know.. As the day ended we found ourselves still at sea...

Hoping you weren't lost at sea. Glad you made a blog during your passage. I worried all night and all day today...until I got to the computer. But, I also worried about the guy that jumped out of the space capsule and parachuted to ground today from 24 miles above earth. I prayed for him too.
