Being able to watch morning TV, I  was in no hurry to leave the boat, I haven't seen the Today Show in years. Carl walked Bella and I made breakfast and then we got ready to walk the boardwalk and check out the town. We had packed up the DVDs that we had already seen since a lady told us there was a place to trade them on the boardwalk. We were surprised to see more people than we thought would be on the boardwalk on Monday morning off season. However, we did see the senior bicycle brigade.. Cruising the boardwalk, we kept our eyes peeled for right turns from the left lane.. The season in the north ends on Labor Day weekend. Every store that was open was selling all their items cheap to clear out the store before they close up, we didn't buy anything..There was no used DVD store but one shop owner told us about a store about 10 minutes away that had a huge selection. I called Ed to see if he was busy and maybe he would take us to the store, he said he would call and find out where it was and call us back. I stopped at the grocery store to pick up what I had forgotten when Ed called to say he would take us there. We went strait to his house and he took us to the DVD store. This was a big store with lots of movies, they didn't trade like the other stores we went to, this one gave you a store credit, then you picked out your new ones.We didn't get as many as most stores but they also didn't have the selection this store had. All is good we picked up 5 new movies to watch that's what we needed...Ed had to stop a pet store for cat food which was great since we needed dog food. Bella had not been eating much so we got her a new brand, and boy did she like that. Eat it right up, gotta go back for a bigger bag. Ed also had to stop at one of his rental houses and the liquor store, so we saw a nice neighborhood and got a bottle of vodka. The day was complete. Ed's a great guy who has treated us like old friends, he's one special man...Back on the boat we watched TV news something else we never see and I made dinner. Not much else to report. The skies are very gray today and they say we will have rain. It's Ed's birthday today and I told him I would make him dinner since he has been so good to us. So we will stay one more day then we must go, we have to be moving along..

  1. What a great stop, it's so true there are many great, kind, generous people in this U.S. of A., the boating community definitely has it's share. Fishing was good to us Saturday, lots of grouper, snapper etc., we even saw Smoot out there.
