This was our last day with our wonderful hosts, and our last day at the water park.. Steve and Karen showed us the best time at their home. Everyday here we cooked out and had a fire with drinks and terrific conversation. This is going down in the books as one of our favorite stops...Karen had lots of laundry to do and Carl needed some zinc's for the heat ex changer so we hoped in her car and headed out. The auto/marine store in this little town had what Carl needed, but here they were $5.25 for  each zinc at home they are only $2.00 .And we all know how hard it was for us to put that money out..We like a deal... Then we drove about 25 minutes to get to the laundromat. Karen needed one with large washers as she had blankets and sheets to wash.. They had these huge washers that cost $9.25 a load but you could put all your clothes in one load. I have never saw a washer so big..Plus the washer wouldn't take coins either, you had to buy a card, put money on that then put the card in the washer.  Strange thing, seemed like more trouble then it was worth to me.. She threw all her stuff in it and off to lunch we went. It was a little local diner very close to the laundromat. The food was okay and it had plenty of small town flavor.. When lunch was over and the laundry was done, Karen took us to a small market/restaurant right near the campground that made it's own ice cream and had lots of different stuff. They even had ice cream made with liquor in it.It was a general store mixed with restaurant.. She was right never have I been in a store like that...Pretty Neat.. Once back at the park Carl went back to work on the boat and we headed for some A/C. The heat wave across this part of the country is unbelievable. The boat has no A/C and their RV only keeps it about 20* less than the temperature outside, so it never really gets cool. When Carl was done and Steve was home from work we headed over to the water park. It was so hot out that when we got to  the sprinkler area and got that first splash of water it felt cold.. Gave me goose bumps...Needless to say we stayed there a couple of hours.. Karen and I headed over to the store to pick up a case of beer( we needed to replace all they had shared with us) and went back to the RV to start dinner. That was easy we were having leftovers.. I made a salad and it was ready.. To hot to cook anyway.. We watched some TV and it was time to say our goodbyes as we were heading out in the morning. It was the best time ever, they are the bomb.We can't thank them enough for having us over.It was the break we needed.. Upon return Carl checked the charts and I checked the weather forecast for the next morning and it was off to bed..Today we head across the Chesapeake Bay and anchor for the night then the next day its out into the Atlantic..
