It was late when we finally got moving for the day. After late night dancing morning came way to early.... I wanted to hit the Food Lion as food prices were going up the farther north we got. So we headed for the bus stop. We found out from Andy and Cathy that the store was 100 blocks away and the bus was only a dollar. Prefect lets hop a ride.. I had to go to the bathroom so we went up on the boardwalk ,hit the bathroom and checked on the surf. Since it was to big to sail we figured there might be surf and there was!!! Yeah... Now Carl was in a hurry.. It took a bit of time but we arrived back at the boat with the back pack full.. I only needed a couple of items... Sure that's what you always say, it doesn't feel like a couple of items...We had lunch and got ready for the beach. Carl took down our boards and we packed a smaller backpack and we were ready. We jumped into the water and paddled to shore. There is a condo across from where we are anchored that has a ladder to the water so it made it easy to climb up on land.. It's a 4 block walk to the beach so we were there in no time.. The waves were a bit to big for me given that I am not use to the board I have and didn't feel like getting worked, so I stayed on the beach.   Carl hit the waves.... Waves were chest to head high with lots of power.. They were some fast moving waves, no sets, never a break in the surf, with plenty of drift. Carl surfed for some time while I sat on the beach and watched. I am very glad after watching that (1) I didn't go in and (2) that we weren't out there in our sailboat!! Evening was fast approaching and the chill was in the air, so it was time to go.It was great that Carl got in a surf session which he really needed!!! Break time for him...We walked back to the Condo and jumped back in the water and paddled to the boat.I was glad we left when we did because I wouldn't want to paddle back to the boat after the sun when down. With all the boat traffic around here.. Bella was happy to see us home again . It was a quiet night aboard with dinner and music then off to bed.. A surf session is on the schedule for today..
