I can't believe I forgot to tell you the most exciting thing that happened yesterday.. The RV park had a golf cart parade with a 4th of July theme.. This was so cute.. It was about 11am and the guy driving the hay wagon had a bad hangover from the night before, and I know just how he felt. We had seen him the night before on the 4th and he had invited us to a campfire with smoores only we didn't make it. The hay wagon was the lead in the parade, then the golf carts and then the kids on bikes. There were a lot of people who did up there ride and got in the parade, only thing was it was after the 4th, it was on the 5th.. What was up with that.. I guess someone read the calendar wrong..It still was a good time had by all...This morning when I got up Carl was already up and drilling a new hole in my fin for my surf board, so it would handle a little bit better. You never know maybe eventually I may be able to surf with it.. Once that was accomplished we untied the lines and we were off. I called Tammy ( my daughter) to see how the roofing job was going at my house. Turned out it rained yesterday and they couldn't  do it. My house developed  a leak during storm Debby, glad the people who lived there called the landlord, so I could have it fixed..Not much to report on the crossing of the Chesapeake Bay, but when we arrived at the anchor spot we had picked for the night we were told it was illegal to anchor there and we had to move or stay at the marina. You all know us, we left rather then pay to stay at a dock..To bad because the town was having a seafood festival tomorrow and we thought we might go ashore...As it turned out we were glad we left..We needed to keep going anyway. The place the harbor master told us to head over to 6 miles away is unique to say the least.. It was a place where 17 old ships made of ferro-cement were sunk in a line and made a protective cove..I am sure it also a great fishing area..  It is something you have to see to believe..It is amazing to say the least..Who thinks up these idea's. What some guy sitting in an office somewhere goes, "Hey we gotta get rid of those old ships, what do you say we haul them across the bay and sink them on the other side.. We will call it a fishing area..People will love us for it.. I don't know if the pictures will do it justice..The heat of the day really had us sweating, and Carl mention maybe a swim. Well with the depth of the water and those ships,on second thought, it didn't seem like such good idea.. Perhaps its a good shark area as well as other fish. So time was spent on deck with a bucket of water . Yes,  Carl dropped the bucket over the side and pulled it back up full and dumped it on his head.. He made such a pleasurable sound , I wanted a bucket over my head too... Way to cool off... It had us singing I feel good...... Bella wanted no part of that, we have wet her down one time to many in this heat..While playing with Bella Carl smashed his little toe in the side of the boat. Not looking good , hope it's not broke.. Even though it was a fishing area Carl tried his hand at fishing again, still no fish...I tired it a few times and I am worse at it then he is...Next stop the Atlantic ocean. I don't know what the coverage will be out there so don't worry if I miss a day or two.. Remember no new is good news..Wait what am I saying of course I need you to read my news...That's why I write it.. Headed due north now..
