Sorry I never got my post done yesterday! I just was to busy taken care of things and having fun that I never had time to do it,so today's blog will be a little long...When we were coming up the waterway not much was happening, saw a few shrimp boat (still lots of those) and cruisers and a few other boaters. We developed an other fuel problem and the boat stopped running. After a call to my brother Mike, Carl was able to get us up and running. It was great to see that all the cruisers that we had been traveling with the last few days, ALL made sure to ask if we were okay, as they were going by. We arrived in Carolina Beach, N.C. about 2 in the afternoon, and it was a very attractive inlet coming in. It reminded me of the Redneck Riviera on Gandy Blvd only with a higher bank. Once inside we called Megan to decide where to anchor, just as we were trying to set anchor and man pulls up in his boat and tells us that the mooring balls are free. That the city won't be charging for them till next year..Yeah..So we took the ball as close to Megan as we could. We called to let her know where we were at and got in the dingy and headed in. As we were gonna dock at a vacant lots and climb over the rocks, a lady calls out and says we could us her dock..Got on the dock and met Glen and Karen who said we could us it the whole time we were here for free....What a tremendous start,, we love this town great already...Thanks Glen and Karen for the use of the dock that sure made things much easier!! Just as we get docked Megan and her son Ethan get there to pick us up,Megan looks great, she hasn't changed a bit. I am so so happy to see her!! We head over to her house and meet her boyfriend Ariha and the 2 dogs. Megan had to go to work, so we ask to us the car so we could get our laundry done and hit the store, she agrees and Ariha offers to keep Bella while were gone. Bonus.. how wonderful now we don't have to worry about her..Thanks Ariha..When we had all our chores done it was back to Megan's for a shower, Oh the joy of it all everything done and clean too!!! When Megan got home the party began... The whole evening was spent enjoying each others company and catching up. Ethan even drew us a picture of the boat (good too) and hung with us all night....We had a blast...It was late and Carl didn't drink so he was able to drive us back to the boat. Once there it was off to bed for a early morning surf session...And boy did that come early..I didn't even want to get out of bed... Megan and I both had a awful hangovers..nothing a dip in the ocean couldn't cure.. So we gabbed our boards and were off. It was knee to waist and fun.. Who ever thought I would get to surf with Megan... LOVING LIFE...We all got right out to the line-up and we catching waves...Or should I say Megan and Carl were catching waves.. Okay not me I still am getting use to that short board, my legs were everywhere. But at least I got out to the line up this time... Getting better..Carl did let me use his board so I could catch some rides.. What a fabulous time we had...After a couple of hours the rain started to close in on us so we got out of the water.. Back at Megan's house we decided what we would make for dinner and headed out. Ariha stayed home and the rest of us where off to get stuff. Megan took us to get our propane tank filled, a month into the trip and we have only used one tank, Not bad. We were gone a couple of hours so we were all pretty hungry when we got back. Boiled shrimp, carrot salad and crab dip was made and we chowed down.. Carl called the only auto parts on the island for oil and they said we had to come in and pay for it first and they would have it for us tomorrow . Carl and I like to walk the towns were in so we walked the 6 blocks to the store and took the long way back so we could check it out.. Megan got worried and came to look for us.. I love this girl...Bella was getting nasty with the other dogs( whats up with that?) so we decided we would call it a day and head back to the boat, and meet again tomorrow.. We we got back to the boat it was early evening and we thought we would go for a walk on the beach. We had stopped to talk to Jerry and Sherry who were staying with the Glen and Karen at the dingy dock and wished them Happy Anniversary (34 years)and asked if they want to join us. They declined so we headed out.. The beach is just across the street so we were there in no time.. We had a magnificent time..Bella ran all over the beach, even in the waves with me and the beach was not crowded!! We walked all the way to the pier, just as we were getting there we turned around and there were Jerry and Sherry ... So the walk back was shared with wonderful company and conversation . When we arrived back to the dock Karen was telling another dingy that they could use her dock too so they wouldn't have to climb the rocks either.. What great people!! Back on the boat it dinner and off to bed as we had had a full couple of days and we were tired...Today we get to see Megan again so ..Yeah for us!!
