Awaken to the sound of people getting ready to make some money. Yes it was Saturday Morning Market on the riverfront and everyone was setting up the booths with their wares to be sold. I walked Bella through the square , while Carl prepared the boat. After a container ship passed by and a  quick check for trees we were off. It is a beautiful day the sun is shinning, the temps about 78* and water is clam and we are going out with the tide.We decided to stay in the ICW as it is 15 miles to get out to the ocean and it would be the same to get back in just to anchor for the night, so in the ditch we will stay, until the coast gets closer. We were able to sail for a short time today, until the wind changes direction or the river bends.  On our travels we have been to a few towns that we've been to before which will bring back an old memory or story that we could share. Like the town of Beaufort S.C.where we stopped to get a pump out today. It's memory brought a big smile to my face. Traveling up the river we got  to go through another swing bridge,I always get a kick out of those... As we found our place to anchor for the night and dropped anchor, a magnificent looking gaff rigged cat sailboat, with a American Flag atop the mast along and a bright red banner, sailed pass just a stern of our boat. This is a small sailboat. The man and his wife complemented us on what a great place we chose to anchor. That is was!! Carl tried his hand at fishing, still no fish.. so a good vegetarian dinner of stir fry veggies with rice, (Carl's new favorite)was made for dinner. Then it was time to take pleasure in where we were. As we sat in the cockpit the feeling you get out here is one of pure bliss, peacefulness and utter calm. I don't thing I have ever been this quiet in my life...Okay, Okay no need for the smart comments... Suddenly a boat with a bright light broke through the stillness heading our way, he must have been out fishing as he stopped and came no further. Hope he has better luck than Carl...The evening was capped off with dancing on the forward deck under the  moonlight... PURE HEAVEN.... BIG NEWS I forgot to report.. Bella's can traverse the stairs in the gangway..  Carl said to stop picking her up and she would learn to do it and she did in only 3..yeah count them 3 days..That's right smart girl..  It has been a month since our trip has begun and what have we learned from it, lets see; Don't go looking for lizards in a raccoon's home ,never go into a lock and not tie up, watch for the big blow on big bodies of water, always stay at the city dock to see the action, watch for people falling off of docks, have a mechanic on call, always remember to check everything you need before the person with the car leaves town, watch for trees in the water, make sure you have a camera with extra batteries with you at all times, stay out of neighborhood's where Carl could lose his pretty white shoes, and always check Skipper Bob's  guide book for free pump outs,(Thanks Mary Francis & Jimbo) and most important of all have a great time ,enjoy ourselves and be safe...
