Slept in later than we normally do and got a late start on the day, which turned out to be a good thing...As Carl sat in the cockpit drinking coffee he called out to me "Rosie come out you gotta see this". I got topside and saw a bunch of little sailboats being pulled by little power boats, with children of all ages being pulled around. The 3 to 5 year old only had a rudder to steer, 6 to 9 year old had a rudder and a mast, the 10 to 13 year old had a mast, boom and rudder, all without sails. They were so adorable!! The kids loved that I was taking their pictures. The school only had them out in slack tide as the current is very strong here.Charleston Sailing center is very well known for teaching kids to sail. What a great way to start the day!!! As we were leaving, we say 3 other people leaving as well, Carl asked them if they knew where the dingy dock was and they said no, that they would follow us. Peter, Helen and their daughter Tiger had sailed over from England.. How very cool and brave is that.. They have been living and cruising on their boat for 10 years. They decided to walk to the bus with us so they could see where it was.. as we are the bus champs..That's right just follow us we know which way to go..Yeah baby.. It was nice to have their company. We boarded the Free Trolley to the visitor's center and they rode along also. We said our goodbye's there and hoped we would see them again before they left. With bus schedules in hand we were off to board out bus to Best Buy and Total Wine. Boarding the bus we were informed we needed exact change, so we had to find a store to give us change.. We have a bag full of change on the boat..Duh..we caught the next bus headed our way.The day was spent changing buses and getting what we needed and meeting so very interesting people..Like the guy who was smashed and noticed I had a 12 pack of beer and wanted to be my friend.. That's my kind of guy.. See Ya Carl...Our errands took us 5 hours believe it or not!! We don't realize how lucky we are to have vehicles at home to take us anywhere we want to go quickly. It sure saves a lot of time.Carl called Depco Pump to see if they had our pump and they did. They said they hoped to have it in the mail in the morning... Quick service that's what we like...The temperature had dropped and we were ready to get a jacket and go play with Bella. She had to stay on the boat again, my poor puppy..It's a long ride back from the dingy and the current is real strong with small waves so I'm lucky enough to get the over spray.. Oh how refreshing..Once back on the boat dinner was had and we closed ourselves up tight for the cool evening. I gave Bella a new toy that I had brought along, she has been so good!!! She has not had an accident or chewed up anything on the boat. She did tear up the new toy in a short time she had all the stuffing out of it.. Who cares she's a good girl..And life goes on in Charleston Harbor, SC.
