The air temperature is cooled a bit, we awoke with it being about 60* a little chilly for us. Carl had a long sleeve shirt and pants on and I wouldn't come out of the cabin till it warmed up some. The evening and mornings temperatures sure let us know we are not in Florida anymore. Just wait till we get up north, I'm sure I will live in long johns, I'm such a freeze baby !! Coffee was made and we headed out for a quiet day up the river, the tide was with us so it made it easier to maneuver though the water . Cruising through we noticed there was not alot happening on the river. There were a few boats out and one ship! My question is how the heck did he get in here? Was he built here and is he waiting for a flood? I know they have been in drought conditions, but really..The water in the channel was only about 15 deep in that area, and if you get even a little out of the channel you are in shallow water, so what gives..As we moved along we noticed that maybe it is a South Carolina thing, cause look at how the other boats anchored, or should I say parked..The power boat was is a party area of the river where lots of boats were anchored off, I surmise he does this often as he had lawn chairs sitting next to the boat. Maybe he hangs around waiting for high tide or has his buddies give him a push back to the waters edge. That's some pretty strong guys.. Too bad we didn't see them anywhere. The sailboat was off on his own. He must have miss judged where the party was so he just left the boat and walked over to it. The banks of the river are very muddy and wide and I suppose it just seems like a bit much to try to get back in the water so he just hitched a ride on a powerboat. The day turned out to be clear and bright, with temps in the low 80's perfect. Not able to sail today due to all the bends in the river, we tried for awhile but it was a pain putting them up just to take them down a half hour later.Carl noticed that the water pump had developed a leak around the seal, so rather than push it we are gonna go into Charleston to find a place to rebuild it. Don't worry I'll let you know what happens. We anchored for the night just outside of Elliot cut as it has a very strong 4 knot current and the books recommend a small sailboat wait till slack tide to go through so that is what we will do. We were able to receive TV tonight, so we watched the Miss America pageant (Carl loves to look at all those beautiful girls) and it was off to bed for some sleep while we wait to see what the next day will bring...
