Sorry I didn't post yesterday, but I was having a problem with my computer and being I'm so good at this stuff, I couldn't get on.. Today I took it to a computer repair shop and in about 2 minutes he had the whole thing repaired. A very simple fix, just I didn't know how to do it, now I do..What a dork... The day began with leaving Gloucester Harbor, we had a great time here. We learned that the Gordon's Fish company was founded here and still operates here today. They have the coolest thing in the harbor, a tower they call the Fort, where kids(of any age) can climb up it and walk out on the pole and fall in the water. Once a year there is a festival held when they grease the poll and see who get the farthest out.. Wish we could have seen that...That would be funny as hell..Then we went though the old bridge, the one I told you about a couple of days ago that was built in 1906 you know the rusted one.We made in under... it didn't fall down. isn't that a wondrous thing..We liked it.. I just wanted to mention that the people of Massachusetts were really great about pedestrians .Every time we stepped into a street all traffic stopped to let us pass. It was really wonderful to see every car doing it.. Cause man there were a enormous amount of cars and people walking.. Also the tides are now getting to be real serious, in Gloucester they had a 10 ft tide change. So now when we check the water we always make sure we are in at 16 ft of water under us before dropping the hook..Up the Cape Ann Canal to the Lobster Cove where we choose to take a mooring ball for the night to get out of the weather..There were so many boats in this area it was like a parking lot for boats , one about every 30 feet..I guess since they have such a short summer everyone takes advantage on gets on the water, can't say as I blame them...We are taking advantage of the summer ourselves... Plus we had a big bonus here, the guy never came by to get our mooring fee, so it was free.. Free is for terrific..Early the next morning it was time to head to New Hampshire to meet up with our friends Norm and Sandy.. We had read in a cruising guide that said if you can find an empty mooring ball you can probably us it for free. So once in Little Harbor we found an mooring that looked like it hadn't been used in a long time so we tied up and went to shore to meet with Norm and Sandy. We had decided to go to their house which is away from the water, so to say Carl was a little nervous is an understatement..We have never left the boat for more than a couple of hours. Lets hope all is well... Or I am dead.. We got to Norm and Sandy's which is on a river in Manchester New Hampshire which is about an hour away, what great place. Sandy and I went to the store and got lobsters for dinner and she cooked them up.. .Yeah baby Lobster again.. Life is good...We had a great evening sitting outside eating lobster and watching the river flow by.. Bella made a new friend and was running all over the place. She even went so far out in the river, that Carl and I got a little nervous that it was to far..And she wouldn't make it back... We asked the lady, who's dog Bella was playing with, not to throw the ball so far out..Since Bella was getting tired. Thank goodness she did.. Today we will be taking a tour of Portsmouth, NH with Norm and Sandy. They have been great hosts and we are loving it..Plus what a great big soft bed.. We are so lucky to have such great people along the way to visit.. Having a exceptional time...
