The day was sunny but the air was cold, not as chilly as the day before but almost. As you can tell from the picture of Carl he is still very covered up and cringing from the cold. While I just stick my hand out of the cabin and take his picture. What you wanted me to go out.. NO WAY..We cruised along the ICW at a good rate, when we came upon the dock we remembered with all the large ships. Its funny to see them as far in as we were, it looked like this was some kind of repair dock and the water around it was pretty deep about 30 to 40 feet. Which is very deep for the ICW, it was afternoon and by then I was topside. I had made white bean kale soup for dinner the night before and boy was that wonderful for lunch today.. Nice and hot.. We must thank Katie and Dave in Maine for turning us on to kale we love it...One good thing about food breaks is that Carl gets to go down below to eat while I take the helm, that way he can warm up some..We passed Charleston, S.C. and anchored in a area with plenty of trees to break the wind. As we were getting near our anchorage a family in a trawler was fast approaching and weaving all over the place, in and out of the channel. He was making us a little nervous to say the least. When he got up next to us, Carl called him on the radio to have him slow down and he came real close, I mean real close to our boat. Then he slowed down and stayed slowed down, we had to slow down more than we had already to give him space to get away from us.. The guy was so out of it he went thought the wrong opening for the tall bridge.. I would say drunk.. scary with kids.. We were very glad he didn't anchor by us.. Hope he makes his destination with the family on board.. Idiot... I cooked the fish we got for dinner and we settled in for the night afer having covered 74 miles , getting closer everyday...
