As we came up from below we saw Billy working and a few guys hanging around the dock, telling fish stories I'm sure. The sea was so rough fisherman that had stopped to get fuel on their way out were heading back in saying it was to nasty out there..You know if the commerical fisherman are coming in its not a good day at sea.. In talking to them we met a man named Victor, who I asked if they had any showers in town, and he said no, but we could come to his house and take one if we liked. I told him we would love to take him up on that later, and he said just call .How nice is that ..I asked Billy if he knew where I could find a laundromat and he said if I was ready by 8:00 am he would drop me off at one. I got our laundry together, secured Bella on the boat and we hopped in the SUV with Billy. Not only did he take us to the laundromat it was right next door to a Dunkin Donuts so we could have breakfast too. He told us to call when we finished and Cody would come pick us up. These men are so nice we can hardly believe our luck...While doing the laundry Carl sees a car breakdown in the middle of the street and a policeman trying to push it so he goes out to help. He tells the officer that everyone has been so nice to us here that he just wanted to give back. The officer says enjoy your stay in his town and leaves. Then the lady who's car broke down, comes in the laundromat to use Carl's phone to call for a ride. When the wash is done we head for the boat, we decided to walk rather than call for a ride it wasn't that far. The guys on the dock are surprised that we walked back. I go inside and do the blog while Carl hangs with the guys, when it's done I ask if they have ever seen a blog. They say no so I get out the computer and show them what I wrote. They seemed to like it..After a bite to eat we call Victor and Cody gives us a ride down to his house. Victor welcomes us in and I hop in the shower first. During our time with him, we learn his son is going to school to be a doctor and he is from Chile.. He is a great man who loves people and  travel. He invites us for a drink at the bar next store and we meet a couple of his friends. Then he invites us to dinner the next night as he is cooking for some friends and he would like us to join them. We ask what we can bring and say goodbye until tomorrow..Once back on the dock the owner Richie and his girlfriend Pat have returned from there trip and they are just as wonderful as all the other people we have meet here..We invited them to dinner since they have been letting us stay here, but they said they had already eaten.. I got a great deal on fish at a local market and was going to pan fry it.. It was yummy.. Richie owns Woodcleft Fishing Station at,  447 Woodcleft Ave, Freeport N.Y. Anyone that gets in this area has to stop and buy something here, these folks are the best. So if you have family or friends from near here please send them this way, they have treated us like gold... Pat even gave me a bottle of wine.. How awesome is that... All I can say is we are blessed to have met them, they don't even know us and are treating us like friends.. Friends are one of the great things we have gotten on this adventure, all just wonderful...

  2. Freeport is a great place to be, I was looking at the weather, maybe Friday? Seemed like a little bit of a lay down for about 48hrs.
